I have Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone and I'm trying to install Scrypt in my project which targets Windows Phone OS 7.1 but I get the following error message:

---------------------------Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone---------------------------
'DH.Scrypt.dll' could not be installed because it is not compatible with any project in the solution. The package targets the following frameworks:

Silverlight,Version=v3.0
Silverlight,Version=v4.0
Silverlight,Version=v5.0
---------------------------OK---------------------------

The following lines in my .csproj file suggests that it is a Silverlight 4.0 application...

<TargetFrameworkVersion>v4.0</TargetFrameworkVersion>
<SilverlightVersion>$(TargetFrameworkVersion)</SilverlightVersion>
<TargetFrameworkProfile>WindowsPhone71</TargetFrameworkProfile>
<TargetFrameworkIdentifier>Silverlight</TargetFrameworkIdentifier>
<SilverlightApplication>true</SilverlightApplication>

I was also unable to compile the source code - the project failed to load with the following error:

"The project type is not supported by this installation."

I'm new to Windows Phone, so please forgive me if I have asked any silly questions!

Hope someone can help me :)

I made it work by creating a completely new project/solution targeting Windows Phone OS 7.1 and then importing all the source files into it.  It compiled OK and I'm able to reference and use the new assembly in my Windows Phone app.

Please let me know if this was a bad idea...
